St Brigid's Day

We would like to thank J.J. Quigley for being so thoughtful and bringing in rushes for us to make St. Brigid's crosses. We made crosses with the boys from 3rd-6th class.  Mrs Traynor spent the evening trimming the rushes ready for Mrs Shields to give us lessons on how to make them. She told the boys all about the crosses and how her mother taught her to make them when she was 5 years old. The boys had fun learning a new skill.
