🚩🏳️‍We were absolutely delighted to hold a 'Red Assembly' last Thursday for our very own Mr Gahan, along with his club and county teammates, Conor Murphy, James Byrne and Darren Geoghegan. The four lads hurl together with Naomh Moninne and are also part of the Louth squad who won the 2025 Allianz Division 4 Hurling League two weeks ago by defeating Fermanagh in Truagh, County Monaghan.

The boys serenaded the four Louth hurling players with a rousing rendition of The 2 Johnnies' song, 'When I play for the county'.  Thank you to the group of boys from Fourth and Fifth Class, who also tog out for Naomh Moninne H.C., for their accompanying actions with hurls and flags. The players answered many questions from MC on the day, Allan Mathews, and the boys. They truly are an inspiration to us all! We feel very lucky to have the talented Mr Gahan in our school as a role model to the boys and also to mentor and coach them in the art of hurling.⚾️ Lots of boys from our senior classes have joined up with the local Naomh Moninne club and might one day themselves play for the Wee County! An Lú Abú!! 🚩🏳️
